“ I stop by the Co-Op every single day. At least once. Each employee knows me and my dogs by first name. Everyone that works here bust their butts to make sure you have a good experience and to show they care. For example, the owner is always there. If it’s packed, he goes in the back to help his staff on the line. This is how every boss should be in the food and beverage industry. You can truly tell he cares. As does every other employee in here - I cannot reiterate this enough. Coming in here brightens my day, everyday. Truly one of the best places on SI. I grew up on the island and have watched Co-Op grow all these years. It’s truly amazing to see what all they’ve accomplished! Again... if you can’t tell... I really like this place- you have to try if you are a local or tourist. ”
“ The Co-Op is a quick little stop-in sandwich shop and a great feature of Sullivan’s Island. I think I ordered a California Turkey and I really enjoyed it! The sauce on the sandwich was especially delicious. There are a couple of indoor tables to eat at and the service is pretty quick. The only downside was that I couldn’t find a lot of convenient parking. ”
“ People will come for the frose - but should stay for the delicious sandwiches!! The Cali Turkey Sandwich is loaded with sprouts, turkey, guac and more things that I honestly can’t name cuz the damn thing tasted so good I nearly blacked out. But you can enjoy a Co-Op meal for breakfast too - the EBC is just enough to get you through a day dealing with that annoying intern that talks about their cos-playing boyfriend hobby all the time. OG TIP: Grab that large wine bottle sized frose, otherwise you’ll get to the bottom of the single serve bottle and be sad. There’s multiple Charleston locations (as well as Charlotte (kids eat free days), and Nashville - all of the close in proximity CHS spots are worth a visit as they often have special things that aren’t offered across the board. Amazing smashburger days, some of the most affordable beachside waffle cone soft serve you’ll find on the east coast, coffee deals and more. Which is at which? You’ll have to explore to find out :) ”
“ First visit to the Island COOP. Love the vibes, the simple yet refined basic sandwiches and spreads. Had the Sausage Egg on Kaiser Healthy Mediterranean Egg on Humus. Both were really really good. ”
“ Real cool spot worth the trip any time of the year. Tuna salad is excellent and they have a great selection of non-alcoholic seltzers, kombuchas and CBD seltzers for those not interested in the infamous frose. I love the industrial chic appeal and style as well as the location. Such a cute area worth exploring by foot or bike or strolling through after a beach day. ”
“ First visit to The Co-Op. it just so happened to be the day for the Polar Plunge so it was busy. I found a seat while my husband ordered two coffees, a salad with just about everything you can imagine & a sandwich with salmon, we requested a bagel instead of the Kaiser roll. “ Co-op is an institution in chuck. Been going for years, always dependable, delicious, and on demand. Not exactly the best of the best food, or best of the best ambiance, etc - but Co-Op is in a fantastic location and just always delivers. For that “X” factor it gets a bonus point for 5 out of 5. The california turkey with the sprouts, avo, bacon, etc - chefs kiss. The eggs sandwiches good, everything is good! If you are on Sullivan’s - beach or not - worth going time and time again. And of course...try the froze’ ”
“ My wife found this awesome little place on Sullivans island and we absolutely loved it. Very coastal and very pink with lots of delicous options on the menu. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito which tasted fresh and filled me up. And my wife had the avocado toast. This place is famous for frose, which we didn’t get to try since we were traveling but look forward to trying soon when we return! Highly recommend their coffee to. ”
